Those who are eligible for the program – whether new or returning – are sent an invitation to sign-up. Sign-up is the first step in the enrollment process, where invitees claim either a guaranteed space in the program or a place on the waitlist for one of our campuses.
We stage invitations for the program in two waves:
- Returning Scholars – First Saturday in January
- New Scholars – Third Saturday in January
Scholars eligible to return to DECATS have guaranteed space for two weeks until invitations are sent to first-time attendees, at which point all spaces are first-come, first-served until campuses reach capacity. To claim a guaranteed space in the program, you must complete the sign-up form and submit your enrollment deposit, both in your myStatus portal.
Once a campus has reached capacity, additional sign-ups will be added to the waitlist for that campus. You will be able to know whether a campus has guaranteed spaces or only waitlist spaces at the time you go to sign-up using the link in your invitation. No enrollment deposit is required to subscribe to the waitlist. You may only pursue admission to one campus (i.e. you cannot occupy a guaranteed space at one campus while being part of the waitlist for another campus).
