From the Director’s Chair
Week One inside the DECATS gaming deck has been a total Level Up! Thank you for saying “Yes!” to this epic summer quest. Your Scholars have navigated through the consoles of the Game Center with energy, curiosity, and courage—and we couldn’t be more excited to be on this journey with them.
Each morning, we power up with assemblies that set the tone—filled with music, movement, and celebration. With our DECATS theme songs on repeat, the energy is truly out of this world. It’s a joy to have parents join us in the “launch zone” each day to cheer on our Scholars!
In Manners to Morals and Perspectives, Scholars are unlocking new skills and gaining experience points in leadership, character, and personal growth.
- Manners: Scholars are mastering the basics, confident handshakes, and introductions.
- Executive Functioning: Scholars are training their brains in impulse control and level-jumping between tasks.
- Wellness: Scholars are learning how to refuel their bodies and minds with healthy habits.
- Values & Morals: Scholars are diving into real-world ethics and designing a service project to support our broader community.
Throughout the day, Scholars choose their adventures by leveling up in courses like:
- Edible Art – where culinary creativity takes center stage
- Guitar hero – where chords and confidence collide
- The Magic of Science – where hands-on experiments and mind-blowing discoveries unlock the next level of science
Across every course and challenge, friendships are forming, talents are leveling up, and new achievements are made. Our mission remains clear to provide a Next Level experience while empowering Scholars to use their gifts to make a meaningful impact.
