  • Graduate Assistant Application Due

    DECATS Graduates may apply for a volunteer position as a Graduate Assistant, working closely with mentors and Scholars to serve the community in a supportive role. The GA application is available annually from February 1 – 15. Because spaces are in high demand and extremely limited, the deadline date is strict. Approximately 15 graduates will be confirmed for each campus. Program Directors will contact applicants with more information after applying. Required working days for GAs include: pre-program in-service days, new Scholar-parent orientation and the program days. The application may be accessed on the Join Our Team page.

  • Canceled Cancelled: New Scholar & Parent Orientation

    Last summer in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we modified many of our traditional events and procedures in order to safely conduct the program. These necessary changes, as well as program evaluation responses from Scholars, parents and Mentors, revealed benefits and improvements to a few of our traditions, prompting us to make some of these modifications permanent. One such change is regarding New Scholar-Parent Orientation normally held the Saturday before the program begins. System improvements allowed us to distribute course schedules and other important information online via myStatus, and we intend to keep this process going forward.
